PICTURES: The sponges were out and there were some soaking-wet faces as Bath firm BuroHappold Engineering raised £637.25 for this year’s Comic Relief.
Staff voted for ten of their senior members to be put into the ‘stocks’ – each receiving five minutes of wet-sponge throwing.
Each sponge cost 50p, with three throws for £1, or £5 to launch water out of a bucket.
Votes had been placed in the couple of weeks leading up to Comic Relief (March 13) with each vote costing 50p.
The firm also held its own cake sale and sold red noses.
Facilities and travel manager, Leyla Tugwell, said: “This was a great excuse for interaction of staff at all levels as well as raising lots of money for a worthy cause.”
