Beaufort surfaces as winner of UK MOD contract for next-generation Royal Navy submarine escape systems

Beaufort has secured the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) Submarine Escape and Survival Equipment (SESE) contract, reinforcing its long-standing role as the trusted supplier for the Royal Navy’s Submarine Service.

Beaufort Achieves 300m Qualification for Submarine Escape Systems with Hale Hamilton Technology

A collaborative engineering programme between Beaufort and Hale Hamilton has successfully achieved operational qualification for submarine escape from depths of up to 300 metres, establishing a new global standard for submariner survivability.

This breakthrough represents a 50 percent increase over the traditional 200m benchmark, making Hale Hamilton’s Hood Inflation System (HIS) and Beaufort’s Resolute and MK11 systems the deepest-qualified submarine escape solutions available worldwide.
