ThyssenKrupp in talks with ADAG for Indian submarine contract worth Rs 50,000 crore

German diversified industrial conglomerate ThyssenKrupp AG has initiated talks with Anil Ambani-led ADAG group to partner in building up to 12 submarines in a contract expected to be worth a whopping Rs 50,000 crore.

 

ESSEN (GERMANY): German industrial conglomerate ThyssenKrupp AG is exploring talks with Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group to form a partnership to build submarines for India, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make in India initiative. India is expected to call initial bids to build half a dozen submarines for the Indian Navy, a contract which is expected to be worth more than Rs 50,000 crore. Several international players are in contention for the project.
