A former Royal Navy submarine has been reopened to the public after receiving months of work to her casing.
Nuclear-powered boat HMS Courageous was once at the forefront of the Royal Navy’s defence against the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
Now, she’s been preserved as a museum at Devonport Naval Base.
HMS Courageous was first launched in 1970, serving in the fleet for 22 years.
She was the first submarine to trial, embark and fire the Harpoon missile, a revolutionary weapon for the submarine service and the Royal Navy.
