JFD, the world-leading subsea operations and manufacturing company, is pleased to announce the signing of a new agreement with Fugro to provide training courses delivered by the National Hyperbaric Centre (NHC), part of JFD Ltd, at the Fugro Academy Training Centre in Abu Dhabi.
The agreement with Fugro will see JFD approved local and UK trainers delivering the full range of courses that are currently offered by the NHC including: Client Representative, Dive System Auditing & Assurance, Dive Technician and Kirby Morgan Helmet Technician courses. The first scheduled course is the ROV Auditing & Assurance course which will take place on (13th – 15th September).
Subsea and diver safety is of paramount to JFD and one of our core company values. We aim to improve the safety of our customers by taking a leading role in improving standards worldwide. The collaboration with Fugro means the NHC shall be delivering courses from the best facilities available providing a greater experience to our customers.
The addition of another training facility allows the NHC to expand their global presence and provide training services to a wider audience.
Laura Stewart, Head of Sales – Commercial Services, stated: “We are delighted to partner with Fugro in Abu Dhabi with this venture. It supports our strategy to increase our visibility and footprint across the globe and to ultimately promote Subsea and Diver safety within the industry. We have reviewed a number of our courses in terms of the material and content and I am confident that we have Industry Authorities delivering the training in top class facilities regardless of the courses being run in the UK or abroad. Travelling to the UK to receive training can be very costly to individuals, operators and companies so it makes sense for us to take our products abroad.”
Delegates will have access to Fugro’s two 15-20 capacity training rooms, a computer training room and on site ROV and Dive systems in order to carry the practical modules of courses.
Andrew McNeill, Global Talent Development Manager at Fugro commented: “We are pleased to be supporting the NHC with this venture into the Middle East region. Our knowledge of the region, combined with expertise in ROV and diving operations, will play a significant role in improving the training and competence of personnel here.”
